We discover the woman who bombed the clinic is involved in a fundamentalist group which opposes abortion and, of course, any kind of sexual impropriety. There is a teen group at the church,including the daughter of the bomber, but we find them engaged in all kinds of sexual behavior. This began when they found a sex tape belonging to the minister. The different stories all intertwine. The main characters are the nurse from the clinic and the police detective, whose daughter goes to the same school as the other kids but broke off her friendship with them some time ago. While I don't really enjoy reading about the subject, I found myself reading away because the plot and the characters are well drawn, and I wanted to know who killed the second teen. The story was quite different than I expected, to the point that the book almost seems misnamed. It is, however, a good mystery with likeable characters and a well-knit plot. The sex aspect is indeed shocking, but only because Ms. Sellers reveals what educators like me have known forever: the face that many teens show the world is not real. The language is explicit, but again, I've seen the difference between the way some teens talk to adults and the way they communicate with each other. After all, she's only thirteen. But so was Juliet. This story is a reminder that kids are no longer innocent. If they ever were.
